Starting your PADI instructor development course at Big Bubble Dive Resort, you will gain experience in developing skills to become a professional diving instructor at PADI, one of the world's most networked diving teaching institutions. The big bubble dive resort, which has been open since 1994, has been operating since 1994. PADI accredits us as PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort, where we can offer diving courses from beginner to professional instructor level, with PADI Course Director supervising the training process.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) combines AI, OWSI, and EFRI courses, with a total of 14 days of instruction divided into E-Learning and workshops, and we also include EFR instructors. If you'd like to participate in an instructor internship, we'd love to provide free support at no extra cost. This ensures that you get additional knowledge that is definitely worth the price.

After you have completed the Diving Instructor Course (IDC), you will be required to take the Instructor Exam (IE) for 2 days with a staff member from the PADI.

            Course Prerequisites

  • PADI Divemaster, or leadership level with another diver training organization.
  • 18 years old
  • Certified diver for 6 months 
  • Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course completion (or qualifying training) within the last 24 months 
  • Has at least 100 dives or more


            Tuition fees

  • The IDC Course fee is 33,900 bath 
  • EFR instructor course fee 6,000 bath
  • PADI Instructor Crew Pack 20,500 bath 


Instructor Examination (IE) fees are paid directly to PADI offices.

  • PADI EFR Instructor registration fee 215 AUD
